She married William Elsworth Shaffer, son of Daniel W. Shaffer and Franny Snyder, on 19 June 1890 in St. David's Lutheran & Reformed Church, Hebe, Northumberland Co., PA. Mary Jane Leitzel died in 1945 in Jordan Township, Northumberland Co., PA.
