George owned and operated a farm of about 130 acres in JordanTownship.

     George Tschopp Troutman was born on 27 January 1804 in Mahantongo Valley, PA. He was the son of Abraham Trautman and Elizabeth Regina Tschopp. George Tschopp Troutman married Jestina (Jesty) Clark, daughter of John K. Klark and Anna Maria Bowman, circa 1828. George Tschopp Troutman died on 14 February 1869 in Mahantongo Valley, PA, at age 65. He was buried after 14 February 1869 in St. David's Cemetery, Hebe, Northumberland Co., PA.
